What System Settings Controls

System Settings is an admin-only area for product-wide configuration. Regular users and non-admin workspace members do not see this page.

The current System Settings area manages product pricing cards shown to free users in the Billing experience. This lets admins control which pricing plans are visible and what text appears on those plan cards.

Product Pricing Fields

Each pricing plan has fields that control how it appears in the app:

  • Display: whether the plan is shown to free users.
  • Product name: the plan name users see.
  • Price: the displayed price for the plan.
  • Product description: the main description for the plan.
  • Currency: the currency shown with the price.
  • Billing frequency: whether the plan is monthly, annual, or lifetime.
  • Plan description: short supporting text such as "Billed monthly" or "One-time payment."

All configured plans are saved together. If one plan has invalid information, fix it before saving the full pricing configuration.

Safe Pricing Update Process

  1. Review the current Billing and Plans page so you know what users see before the change.
  2. Click System Settings in the Admin section of the left sidebar.
  3. Update the pricing fields for the plan you need to change.
  4. Confirm the displayed plans, names, prices, and plan descriptions are correct.
  5. Click Save Settings.
  6. Click Settings, click the Billing tab as a free workspace user or test account, and confirm the visible cards are correct.

Pricing settings affect what users see when they are deciding whether to upgrade. Treat them as customer-facing content. Avoid temporary wording, internal shorthand, or unexplained plan names.

Troubleshooting System Settings

  • The page is not visible: confirm your account has admin access. Admin account review is covered in Admin Users.
  • A plan is missing from billing: check whether Display is turned off for that plan.
  • A price will not save: confirm the price is entered in the expected number format and is not blank when a value is required.
  • Checkout is unavailable: pricing cards can still be visible even when checkout for a billing frequency is not available. Check billing provider configuration before changing copy.
